Dear Eun-gull,
How nice to hear from you.!
I'm finally getting settled enough back here in the US to collect my mail, and here's your letter right on top!
The weather here has been cold and snowy since I arrived. I stopped in Anchorage, Alaska on the way home. It was only Oct 30th, but it was cold and snowy there. I thought, "Interesting, winter certainly comes early to Alaska." Then, just I got off the plane in Salt Lake on November 3rd, it started snowing heavily, and by the next morning, Salt Lake looked the same as Anchorage had. Winter has started early here.
I'm still getting settled in here and looking for my next job in the US. Yes, it's too bad I left so soon. I would have enjoyed climbing mountains and doing other things with you.
In the meantime, keep working hard on your English. It was really nice to get this letter from you. Write some more soon.
Sincerely yours,
Roger White

Dear Sung-mi,
I made it back to Salt Lake City, but the weather has been cold and since I arrived in the US. I stopped in Anchorage, Alaska on the way home. It was only Oct 30th, but it was cold and snowy there. I thought, "Interesting, winter certainly comes early to Alaska." Then, as just I got off the plane in Salt Lake City on November 3rd, it started snowing heavily in Salt Lake City, and by the next morning, Salt Lake looked the same as Anchorage had. This I knew was unusual. The high mountains around Salt Lake will collect some snow before mid November, but not the Salt Lake valley. Winter has started early here.
I'm still getting settled in here and looking for my next job in the US, and my all my pictures are still on the boat coming from Korea, so I haven't been able to get to the pictures I have of you.
In the meantime, keep working hard on your English, and let me know how you're doing. And if you get a chance, send me another picture of you... the one I never got a chance to take.
Sincerely yours,
Roger White
