Teaching Korean students

class in front of Namoon gate This is typical of the general classes I taught. Most of these students are university students on a class break. The rest are a mix of Korean adults from all walks of life. I would adjust the class to match the interests and abilities of the students.
An outing to Songni Mountain This is an end-of-class outing to Songni Mountain in central Korea. The students study hard for two months, the reward themselves with a nice end of class party. In classes such as these I would work with Roger's Tongue Twisters, telephone English, The Preposition Game, and analyzing articles. For a change of pace we'd analyze a movie.
class in front of Namoon gate, downtown Suwon Suwon's Namoon Gate (South Gate) was just outside the school building. Suwon had a lot of history around it, so it was a great base for exploring Korea. I would take day trips most weekends to visit Korea's sights. At class I would tell stories about my adventures, and use these as springboards to let the students tell me more about Korea.
