California is beautiful in the spring time. So I was happy to get the
opportunity to teach this Novell CNE-CNA track class at Computer Focus
in Oxnard, CA.
The students were very enthusiastic and knowlegable, so we had a great time exploring the intricacies of administering Netware 4 during the week. On the weekend I explored the intricacies of "Hearst's Castle", three hours up the coast outside San Simeon, CA. |

This is a Novell CNE class at CompUSA. CompUSA in Salt Lake was where I started teaching when I returned from Korea in 1997. I helped open the store and I started as lead instructor. I taught what needed to be taught -- which in the beginning was office and graphics applications such as the Micosoft Office suite and Photoshop. As demand developed for the more technical classes, I evolved into the teacher for A+ certification and Novell classes. The lead instructor position was designed for an office applications teacher, so I switched to independent contractor status, and started RBW Consulting. |

This is another CompUSA class, this time in Orem, Utah. It's an A+ certification class. The facilities here are great and the students were very enthusiastic. |

This is a Microsoft TCP/IP class at Tech Training in Murray, Utah.
Here we learned the fine art of deciphering IP addresses, subnet masks and network ranges. TCP/IP addressing is a lot like solving crossword puzzles, and in my opinion both should be a hobby activity. Network addressing is something computers can handle wonderfully, and hopefully the next version of TCP/IP addressing will make the IP addressing and subnetting part of this class obsolete. |
