In Roger’s World of Technofiction, there are two classes of immortal beings. Class One Immortals will live long lives, but can be killed. Class Two Immortals can’t be killed.
A Class One Immortal is like a Tolkien High Elf or the Norse god Baldur (who was in fact killed). A Class Two Immortal is like the Holy Trinity or one of the Norns. Notice that their outlook on life is very different.
